Enrichment Programs

Student Council

Student Council is intended to encourage leadership among students and   promote school spirit.  The Student Council has eight elected officer positions:  President, Vice President,  Treasurer,  Secretary, Officer of Religion, Officer of Stewardship, Officer of  Sports and  Officer of Spirit.  Students in their last trimester of 6th and 7th grade may run for an officer position.

Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors enhance the welcoming atmosphere of St. Louis the King Catholic School and represent and positively promote St. Louis the King and the Tuition Tax Credit at designated events throughout the school year.  Students in their last trimester of 5th, 6th and 7th grade may apply to be a Student Ambassador.

   

Drama Club

Led by our 5th Grade teacher, Ms. Chavez, our Drama Club is broken into two age groups; Grades 3-6 and Grades 7-8.  This afterschool, extracurricular program is designed to provide students with experience in acting, improv, public speaking and set design.

Sports

St. Louis the King’s athletic program is guided by the principles and guidelines set forth by the Catholic Youth Athletic Association.  The main goal of our program is to develop qualities of leadership, good sportsmanship, and promoting a Christian atmosphere.  Students in the 5th through 8th Grades may participate in our after school sports program.  The following sports are offered:

Girls:    Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball
Boys:    Football, Baseball, and Basketball


Junior Legion of Mary

The Junior Legion of Mary group offers students an opportunity to seek the Lord under the banner of Mother Mary, and provides gentle guidance encouraging  members to grow in their faith through regular prayer, service, and apostolic works for the elderly and for the spiritual growth.  Students are invited to join the Junior Legion of Mary which meets Fridays at 1:00 p.m. in the 4th grade classroom.
